Serviform-Nakayama: a dream team chronicle
Dear Customers, Suppliers and Partners,
Japan Pack, organized by the Japan Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association, which took place in Tokyo at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center ‘Tokyo Big Sight’ from the 3rd to the 6th of October was by all means a truly inspiring event for all of us. Let us explain why!
We knew, before attending, that the event has an excellent reputation among exhibitors and visitors. We also were aware of the highly demanding Japanese die-making companies and their very severe selection of potential new partners. This is why we decided to combine all our forces and participate in a really powerful way: our Diemakers Performance Crew from the Italian HQ of Caravaggio with the most skilled technical, R&D and sales personnel and our local partner ‘Nakayama Steel Rules’ with its skilled experts.
The first tangible output was the top level synergy between the Japanese and the Italian team. If we were convinced about Nakayama’s good competences before the fair participation, after we had the opportunity to work together with them on their pitch, we are now really thrilled about the perfect matching of things that count: technical skills, customer approach and team spirit.
The team of Nakayama Steel Rules was very satisfied with Serviform EcoPlus performance at the fair. Customers and prospect customers showed considerable interest in this performing product. As a result, the overall number of visitors on our stand grew significantly compared to the previous editions. We collected serious and interesting prospects which will be processed and contacted by Nakayama.
Starting from the current month, our distributor there, Nakayama, will have a service technician who will be able to install and service our machines. Furthermorehe will be able to train operators on the field Japanese! This is a unique attention we consider necessary for this very demanding market.
After the exhibition, we lived a truly memorable event: the delivery and installation of the very first EcoPlus in Japan (we already have Idea(s) and RotaNeXt(s) there). Andrea Grieco (Serviform trainer and technician) together with Dino and Roberto Spairani, respectively Serviform Software developer and R&D responsible installed the machine at Sanwa’s.
The customer was really excited about the machine and its features, particularly the ones related to the productivity! Further, thanks to the excellent job of our team, the first die could be manufactured the very same day of the EcoPlus installation. Meanwhile another Serviform machine is on the way to Japan to fulfill the high expectations of another diemaker. We’ll keep you posted.
