Dedicated to a great team work
On the 24th of March our Group celebrated its 70° anniversary. In the gourmet restaurant Vittorio Relais & Chateaux la Cantalupa, in Brusaporto, close to Bergamo, in a prestigious villa about 250 Italian and international guests celebrated this important happening which had as its theme the team spirit.
By taking a glance at the results of our dynamic group of companies, these are truly the outcome of an excellent team work! Composed by the three companies Pro Form, Serviform and Foppa Fustelle, in the last 10 years the group doubled its turnover and employs now over 80 people.
“My father taught me to respect the work and the persons. When, in 1975, he entrusted me with 50% of the company, I did not want to disappoint him: even if, like him, I have a shy and reserved character, I always put the relationship with my employees first. Some workers have arrived from young and today they are here to teach the ropes to the new generations" says Franco Foppa Pedretti, owner of the group of companies.
During the evening, company managers have reported the most successful and the most memorable stories of the last decade. For Serviform, which since 1991 produces and sells CNC die-making machines, Mauro Tomelleri, sales and marketing director, presented some key data: 91% of sales comes from export to all five continents, market shares go between 60% and 90% in some European countries such as Spain, France, Great Britain and Germany.
Furthermore, a great job has been done on the product range, now almost complete, with the introduction of Rubba and Milla Plus and further development of the ECO series: we are one of the key suppliers for the world diemaking market.
Within Foppa Fustelle, our historic die-making company, founded by Pino Foppa Pedretti in 1946 instead, change and growth are mainly expressed in the new headquarters. Production capacity was increased by 60% compared to 10 years ago. Moreover, a strong generational change brought about a quarter of the employees to retirement, after spending a lifetime in the company and did have to be replaced in the various departments.
The world even more at hand: in July 2015 we created the Joint Venture Serviform America, which allows us to give a reliable and innovative aftersales service to all our customers who have believed in Serviform and are using our machines day-by-day overseas.
Last but not least, in 2016 we ended up with a full victory a long lasting legal proceeding between our company and a German competitor. We are extremely satisfied with this outcome, as we achieved our aim and defended our innovative products, which we developed ourselves with the same spirit as always: to offer to our customers winning solutions.
As an exceptional testimonial of the success of a good team spirit, Davide Cassani, coach of the Italian national cycling team spoke to the audience during the evening. Thanks to many interesting episodes, Mr. Cassani explained how victories build by the team can expresses exceptional energies, which are often unreachable by every effort of the individual.
Thanks to a short movie, all guest could admire the sixteenth-century fresco of Fermo Stella present in the San Bernardino church in Caravaggio. The renovation of the artwork was funded by our group of companies, which contributed actively to the local artistic heritage protection.
The evening ended with the delivery of a present to Mr. Foppa by Annika Devecchi on behalf of all employees: an expression of gratitude, but also of belonging to the Group and its values of work, loyalty, solidarity and respect.
