Place for tourism, leisure, winter sports, climbing and not for packaging (if not the packaging for the broken legs and arms in our local hospital but the raw material is different in this case – maybe the smartness and creativity of Serviform would help to invent something done out of the corrugated board). - ‘Core’ Activity: Difficult to define because of the different criterion that might be applied. If we apply the turnover criterion, then it will be the supply of the consumables for the flexo printing and for the box manufacturing, because we are the resellers. If we apply the criterion of the amount of kilometers and time passed for the visits and different events this would be widely understood consulting and supplies for the diemaking industry.
- Things we do best: Beside skiing and snowboarding I think that our success is that our customers consider us as partners in their business.
1. Which production requirements prompted your customers to choose the Serviform machines?
The most important factor was to have the after-sale service available in Europe and not in Asia, even if Serviform’s machines are more expensive. Then, the fact that the machines were co-designed by diemakers, in the sense that Serviform is a very active listening company. They speak to the die makers, take note of their needs and transform them in valuable technical features of their machines.
This helps the die makers to do a better, quicker and more effective job. Furthermore, by possessing its own die shop, all the prototypes are tested in the field and their specialists are used to give quick, targeted and competent feedback. The result is striking.
2. What are the main technical features on which your customers focus on choosing the machines?
We have different categories of customers having different requirements. Some of them even give Serviform their ideas how to improve the machines and how to build the tools. This creates a headache to Giulio and Mauro but we love them and our love is returned to us with the orders that follow. We have 3 such ones and all 3 of them have at least 4 machines from Caravaggio. There is no precise feature that makes our customers choosing Serviform. It is the combination of elements starting from the kindness of the agent, through the fair play, competences and brilliant ideas of the Sales Manager, flexibility of the Production Manager, professionalism, kindness and extremely short reaction time of the Service Team and, last but not least, beauty of the Front Desk Manager…
3. Why do customers choose EST DIFFUSION?
They choose the product we bring to them and then, once they realize that it is good, they have no other choice...
4. What is the aspect that makes you proud about the way you do business?
The most important for us is that we can visit our customers at any time and we are very welcome. We are considered by them not as the sellers wanting just to earn money but as the partners in the business, ready to give technical support and advices at any time. I have seen somewhere a nice poster with a smart sentence: “It is good if the customer comes back to you and not your product”. And this is our keynote.
5. The challenge for the next 5 years?
To survive, to pass smoothly the business to the young wolves and to continue successfully the cooperation with Serviform (to double the amount of their machines on our market) and other partners.
