Today we want to highlight EcoGiant, our automatic bending unit for die makers and explain why we claim it to be the perfect choice for a die shop which is looking for flexibility, reliability and high quality.
When we developed EcoGiant, we were listening very carefully to our customers' needs and we tried to understand what the real day-by-day problems were while processing their steel rules. What did we find out?
Give me more flexibility!
An automatic bending unit first of all has to be flexible. The more different types of steel rule a machine can handle, the more different dies can be produced in a shorter timeframe. Time is money, still!
EcoGiant’s newly developed interchangeable bending sleeves process 2, 3 and 4 pt. steel rule from 22.5 up to 60 mm high thanks to the motorized punching station where the cartridge position automatically fits with the steel rule height used.
I need more speed but I only have limited space!
If it comes to production speed, which is indeed a big headache for all die makers, EcoGiant can help with another very smart solution: the new generation multiple cartridges. These cartridges allow you for multiple operations such as cutting, lipping and notching. In the even wider special cartridge program the EcoGiant has tailored cartridges designed to produce perf, nicks, and cut/crease rule out of standard cutting rule. Everything within one machine – that saves space either!
The quality of my dies for the folding carton industry is ok, but how can I do even better?
When it comes to the production of high tolerance dies for the folding carton industry quality problems can make the diemakers’ life pretty difficult.
With EcoGiant, we solved the problem adding the option of a double inline broaching unit. Broaching reduces the make ready time in the use of the die in the folding carton industry. Thanks to the broaching, minimum radiuses are smaller and the quality level of the dies obtained is significantly increased.

EcoGiant comes with the latest development of our die preparation software based upon Windows® OS. The PC is used as a mere user interface. Machine control is driven by industrial PLC.
