Serviform International OpenHouse 2018 is preparing to open its gates in Caravaggio next 27th of June. Are you ready to attend the most exciting diecutting event on the Italian territory? We are more than prepared to show you our latest products, listen to your needs and exchange experiences with a very international audience.
As we already announced in our previous newsletter, there is a third, very crucial part of or our event, you can absolutely not miss: our exquisite regional specialties!
Unlike the typical Italian restaurants all over the world, Italian food has much more variety than spaghetti and meatballs or eggplant Parmesan. Even though you can find Italian specialties like pizza and tortellini all over Italy, it is well worth sampling the local dishes for a bit of authenticity. Every region has its own cheeses, wines and sometimes-even vegetables.
Lombardy is a region in northern Italy and former home to the Lombards. The Alps to the north and the Ticino, Mincio and Po Rivers on the sides and to the south define the region geographically. The land is primarily flat, but the landscape does include some soft hills and marshlands.
Risotto, a characteristic rice dish, is considered among the most typical first courses in Lombardy. In the summer time, we eat a great variety of cold rice, which you will have the possibility to taste next week.
Cattle has been raised in the plains since the age of the Lombards, which gave birth to considerable dairy products. You will be able to taste the most typical Salva cheese.
Pork also makes an appearance on the tables in Lombardy. Pork sausages (we call it salame) from different areas such as Bergamo, Cremona, Varzi and Milano are typical of the region.
We also will propose healthy but delicious vegetables grown in the surrounding countryside, such as eggplants, zucchini, tomatoes and salad, composing it to refreshing specialties, which will make you stay confortable under the Italian sun.
A cool glass of regional white or red wine from Desenzano/Lake Garda and some strong Espresso will give you the right boost to pass a very stimulating day within Serviform at Caravaggio!
