The origins of Serviform, the idea behind the success story, the persons, their competences and passions: we would like to tell you our story, let you know on what our machines are built, ideas and values which go far beyond parts and technology. Today we start from the roots and during the next months you will get to read more episodes about our company.
The beginnings of Serviform were difficult. In 1946 Italy was struggling to get back to its feet with all the strategic industries destroyed, but people craved to go beyond. Serviform started from where all the activities of that very difficult time began: just over a craft workshop. The difference from that point on has been made by the founder, Giuseppe Foppa Pedretti.
With the first die Giuseppe (Pino) produced in Caravaggio, he set the starting point of a business which in 14 years only grew to become the most influential diemaker in Italy. He produced and distributed materials for diecutters and had 30 employees.
During the years some of Foppa Fustelle’s entrepreneurially minded workers opened their own diemaker shops, transforming Caravaggio and its surroundings in a recognized district of the business.
In the 1980s Franco Foppa, Pino’s son, realized that the market was strongly requesting service and materials for diemakers, diecutters and box plants. With the establishment of Serviform he gave a strong and competent feedback, but he was aware, that thanks to almost 40 years of experience, he could do even better.
As the need for automation and streamlining increased, Foppa Fustelle and Serviform developed practices and tools that were not only useful to themselves but could be interesting for everyone in the industry. Bringing these solutions and innovations to the market is the core activity of the Serviform corporate philosophy and the market rewarded the Group with excellent results.
