The most attentive among you will certainly recall, that 2 editions ago, namely in the newsletter from mid March dedicated to the WAM, the Serviform World Agents Meeting, we said goodbye with a promise: to have a glance at the menu, our agents had to cook with the regional chef at the Mate restaurant in Treviglio, a few kilometers from Serviform.
Well, we had a set of Italian cold cuts and then it was a delicious risotto with baby spinach, purple potato foam and Taleggio (a local yummy cheese) as an entree. A wonderful “ganascino di bue” (you look and search what it is in your language) cooked for long hours with a vacuum system. All made from regional products which were a pleasant surprise to all participants. Of course, we all tasted Brut and Calepio which were also from the nearby, very famous Franciacorta and Calepio zone.
We also could establish a ranking of high potentials in the kitchen divided by continents: Ashley Bradburn won clearly over Tony Foley and Mrs. Gryczan! The latter two are suggested have to take some extra cooking classes to follow up on the first three, but the chef gave some glimpse of hope, as he perceived some hidden talents, yet to improve.
No extra class needed for the business results of 2016 which we analyzed together during the meeting: with a remarkable increase of overall turnover and volume, the goals set at the beginning of last year were not only reached but even overcome.
We are very proud of the fact that today, more than 650 companies are using our machines worldwide, but we know, there is still space for us to grow. What will help us greatly and what we have missed in our product range, is a machine which will be presented within the 2017 edition of Odyssey and was anticipated to our agents during the WAM. This important fair will take place in Chicago from May 17 - 19; we will report on it in the next newsletters.
Since then we will keep the secret, but we warmly invite you to visit us on our booth and discover, what’s in the cards.
During the WAM we also announced the 2016 ‘Agent of the Year’: a partner who did extremely well not only in sales but also in organizing and promoting our machines in a creative and effective way. We proudly rewarded Partwell Group from Blackburn, responsible for UK and Ireland.
After a very intense meeting during which the exchange of information and data was fervent and definitively multilateral, the most sporty, but also the most audacious of our agents followed Mauro Tomelleri, sales and marketing director, on a challenging Ski/Snowboard circuit in Valle d’Aosta. We have two good news for you: 1. everybody returned home 2. on his legs!
Just as a note: Poland surpassed by MILES all of the others, Mr. Michal Tombinski (ski) and Mr. Lukasz Holy (snowboard) simply showed everyone where real skills are.
